The Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) is an inspection device which works in the same way as your finger when it traces map coordinates. Using either a Machine Co-ordinate System (MCS) or a Part Co-ordinate System (PCS), as shown in Figure 5, components can be inspected to obtain real deviations from its nominal value.
