Automatic brake intervention can be implemented in different ways. The use of components already available in production vehicles for an Automatic Stability Control and Brake Assistance System, is conceivable. One must include above all, the Electronically Adjustable Brake Booster.
In the brake assembly shown above, in addition to the operation as the standard brake booster the actual position of the brake is determined by the diaphragm sensor. The automatic control of the booster auxiliary force is undertaken by the adjustable proportional magnet. The actual hydraulic brake pressure is determined by the pressure sensor.
