The 'traffic' system can be divided into three elements: Driver, Vehicle and Environment.
The driver is described by the behaviour of tracking and lane change in the traffic flow. In addition, his driving strategy (route selection) plays a role.
The vehicle is characterized by its dynamic behaviour in the longitudinal and transversal direction.
The environment also includes the surrounding vehicles apart from the road conditions (course, road condition, view ).
Each of these three elements of traffic have an influence on the other elements.
