During the last few years of development the automotive was treated isolated with its components chassis, body and propulsion. The growing traffic is challenging the drivers more and more in guiding their vehicles safely. A general consideration of the ' traffic ' system must therefore be executed for the development of new measures for driver assistance. Parts of driving tasks can be done or influenced by so called driver assistant systems. This results in retroactions of human behaviour and entails to take into consideration the legal background (e.g. insurance law). Technical requirements exist in environmental detection and in conversion of controller variables (e.g. brake engagement).
