Innovation and Learning

The "right to left" Innovation and Learning aspect of the model is key, in that it completes the loop or cycle of improvement. The outcomes of assessments, and the results from the various measures that are put in place, will provide management and staff with critical information on how the business is performing. This is itself a form of "learning", and this will then translate into "innovation" and general improvement.

The momentum should be maintained by planning future assessment exercises and hence maintaining a cycle of continuous improvement.

Once improvements have been put in place there is a need to:

  • ensure they work
  • advertise the success/change etc.
  • plan a further assessment to measure improvement.
  • continue the improvement cycle.
