STAGE 11

RECTIFICATIONS & MODIFICATIONS - IF NECESSARY

It is now time for any tool rectifications and modifications to be agreed before final proving of the mould. Any adjustments that the mouldmaker needs must be documented together with any modifications he may be asked to carry out to satisfy the moulder's or customer's requirements. Pre-agreement on cost and time implications is again vital to avoid subsequent inquests or disputes.

In any event, the toolmaker should complete the work with due diligence and speed. Once the tool has produced mouldings to the customer's approval final payment may well be due, after which the mouldmaker should expedite any cavity surface treatment or texturing, as necessary; cosmetic approval of the samples will also be required after this stage.
