Once a project has been planned and authorised, the implementation phase can begin. Implementing the EMS will require careful coordination of activities and people against defined timescales, to ensure steady progress with the project. The role of the Management Representative is paramount within this phase (this is discussed in more detail in Unit 3 Responsibilities for Implementing an EMS).
