• Collects particles in the size range 40-100µm in diameter.
• Very low efficiency on dust less than 10µm

Addition of baffles or deflectors to gravity settling chamber increases collection efficiency.

Change in direction allows dust particles to fall out of the air stream due to momentum.

These devices have a smaller footprint than plain gravity settling chamber.

• Particle size collection range 10-50µm
• As with settling chambers the recirculating baffle collectors are cheap to install and maintain.
• These devices are not effective as a sole collector and are usually used as a" pre-cleaner".
