This is a record of time lost from actual production for one of the identied reasons. The reasons may vary depending on the process involved. This sheet fulfills two main functions. Production time lost during a shift is made visible to supervision, allowing recovery actions to be timely, and ongoing analysis of the lost time reasons will identify which part of the process should be targeted for improvement. A standard measure of the effect of lost time is Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
