Generic emission (EN 50081-1) and immunity (EN 50082-1) standards : domestic and light industry environment

EN 50081-1 Emission tests

• Enclosure : radiated emission from 30 to 1000MHz as per EN 55022 Class B; applicable only to apparatus containing processing devices operating above 9kHz.
• AC main port : conducted emission from 150kHz to 30MHz as per EN 55022 Class B; discontinuous interference measured at spot frequency as per EN 55014; main harmonic emission measured as per EN 60555 part 2.

EN 50082-1 Immunity tests :

• Enclosure : radiated RF field from 27MHz to 500MHz as per IEC 801-3 (1988) at 3V/m; electrostatic discharge as per IEC 801-2 (1984) at 8kV (air discharge).
• All I/O and main ports : Electric fast transient 5/50ns common mode as per IEC 801-4 (1988), amplitude 0.5 or 1kV dependent on type port and method of coupling.
