Training Your Personnel: Level 4

Unit 6 - Background to Training

Definitions of Training

When most people think of training they think of a formal process involving one person telling a group of others what to do, why and how to do it. However, training can take many forms, some formal, some informal, some direct and some indirect. For e.g., sending selected personnel on an internal environmental auditing course and communicating the company s environmental policy by giving everyone a copy and asking them to read it can both be considered as training.
