As a result of a wheel load change during cornering, the transferrable cornering forces change on both wheels of an axle. This processes is indicated using the degressive tire characteristic curves, assuming equal side slip angles at both wheels.
The characteristics show that a wider slip angle would be required in order to achieve the same cornering forces as in the case of ΔG=0 as a result of the degressive characteristic → reduction of side slip stiffness.
→if slip stiffness reduces to the same extent on both axles, then an existing oversteer or understeer tendency will be intensified.
