3.4.2  Public Registers

Greater access to environmental information, particularly from industry has been heightened primarily by IPC and subsequently, IPPC. Information on processes and activities are now held in public registers, and compiled and maintained by the Environment Agency or the relevant authority. These registers are free to inspect and are held at the regional or area offices of the relevant authority where the process or activity is based. Registers and Reports Maintained by Public Bodies.
