The next step is to find the square root of this value 'L'. You can do this using the calculator provided in the toolbar, but you should also be able to use almost any pocket calculator.

To calculate the square root of a number using the calculator from the course, simply enter the number, then press the button labelled 'sqrt', followed by the equals button. Do this now, and enter your result in the box outlined in red below, then click the button to check your answer. Your answer should be rounded to 4 decimal places.
