Variation of Toe on the Rear axle
A toe-out in stroduced on the rear axle.
The simulation results are shown in the slide.
→Kinematic toe-in changes on the rear-axle adversely affect straight running characteristics as a result of side force fluctuations due to suspension movements excited by road undulations.
→Realising elastokinematic toe changes requires complex suspension design and hence the changes introduced by rubber bushes in the suspension are accepted and the resulting changes are compensated by kinematic design.
