Variation of the Camber angle on the front axle
→Negative camber angle of the front axle is increased.
Result:
→Negative camber increase results in the possibility to transfer higher lateral forces, which means the understeer tendency of the vehicle is reduced.
→With increasing roll angle of the body during cornering, the negative camber angle on the outside wheel effective in the design position however, reduces.
→Large kinematic camber changes however influence the straight running properties when encountering undulations, resulting in uncomfortable side force fluctuations.
