The light distribution describing the range of illumination is a further criterion for the evalution of headlamps. This is the distance at which the light intensity drops by 1 Lux. VF Headlamps in fact do not indicate a higher range of illumination compared to PE Headlamps, however the illumination of the foreground is more homogenous. Both systems are distinctly more powerful than conventional Paraboloid Headlamps.
The slide shows the typical low-beam light distribution of the different headlamps in the form of an Isolux-Diagram.
