Integrated Starter Alternator Damper (ISAD)
As the name suggests, the ISAD system consists of the starter, alternator and flywheel integrated into one overall system.
→The system requires a 42V powernet.
→Replaces the conventional starter, flywheel and alternator.
→Alternator reverses its function during starting, hence starting takes place wear- free, noise-free. Reduces cold-start related emissions.
→Once the engine is fired, the alternator functions are restored. High power delivery at low speeds achieved.
→Damper function available, by the action of torques on the crankshaft from the alternator which compensates the non-uniform torque production of the engine.
→Start/stop function possible.
