TPM IMPROVEMENT PLAN
There are three main stages to the TPM Improvement Plan:
Stage 1. |
Condition |
The present condition of the equipment is
determined. Areas for improvement are identified and plans produced for
the future care of the equipment. |
Stage 2. |
Measurement |
The current effectiveness of the equipment is
assessed and used as a baseline for measuring future improvements. |
Stage 3. |
Improvement |
The equipment effectiveness is improved. |
There are nine steps within these stages shown in the diagram on the next page.
Throughout this plan, the following themes should be applied:
- Restore before improvement.
- Pursue ideal conditions.
- Eliminate minor defects.
- Prevent causes of dust, dirt and scattering.
- Ask "WHY?" five times.
