In this example, when the bonnet is closed, the pressure flexes the bonnet by the latch and leaves a large dent in the sheet metal. This concern will result in a significant customer complaint and will be a high warranty item for the vehicle manufacturer.

In this example, there is a very visible sink mark on the topper pad of the instrument panel from the outline of the airbag bracket. This concern will potentially result in customer complaints and will feature in the manufacturers warranty figures. Also it will be noticed by customers in the dealership showroom.

In this example, when the rear seat armrest is pulled down it results in a notchy feeling operation. This concern will be noticed by the customer during their ownership of the vehicle and affect their impression of the vehicle and the brand.

In this example, there is a stepped profile between the bottom of the a-post trim and the topper pad of the instrument panel. This concern is not likely to be consciously noticed by the customer but the build up of these types of concerns will prevent the vehicle from having a well engineering feel. Also, it could potentially propagate into a more severe concern.
