Once all tests have been performed, the behaviour curve for the material can be obtained through a statistical analysis of the registered results.
To get the E-N curve from the results of the fatigue analysis the ASTM E-739 standard ("Standard Practice for Statistical Analysis of Linear or Linearized Stress-Life (S-N) and Strain-Life (ε-N) Fatigue Data" ) is applied. This standard is used when the relationship between the strain amplitude and the number of cycles can be adjusted with a straight line for a specific interval of strain.
