- Project Promotion
Visual control systems should not be implemented to one area
at a time. The preferable method would be to devise a method
of promoting the project throughout the factory.
The goals, targets and time considerations need to be agreed
and presented in such away that all employees of the company
will fully understand.
- Control Points
Control points should be identified so that supervisors,
operators and support personnel will know precisely what will
need controling and, based on the type of production carried
out, what format the control documentation will take.
- Control Point Check
When control documentation has been completed, it is wise to
check to see if the desired result will be achieved.
This will allow any problems or possible improvements to be
determined prior to implementation. A major consideration is
will the information being generated be follwed up. Two points
to consider are;
- are there systems in place to use it.
- does the work area view it as necessary.
Both points can cause problems with regards to supervisions
response.
