Linear Elastic Solid with Exponential Strain Hardening
Linear elastic, plastic with exponential strain hardening is the most approximated model to the real elasto-plastic material behaviour. The main difference related to the precedent model is the more detailed description of the plastic deformation part of the curve, which is in this case an exponential curve defined from 2 constants μ y n, parameters characteristic for each material.
This material law could be approximately described with a model made up of several segments (multilinear behaviour). This behaviour can be represented by a mechanical system with several components, spring - friction plane in serial connection (each component would describe each segment in the curve) and followed by a spring to describe the part corresponding to the linear elastic behaviour.
