Course Summary

This course has brought together three important and related subjects under the umbrella of "Craftsmanship in the Automotive Manufacturing Process". Fixturing, measurement and auditing are all important aspects of delivering products with high levels of craftsmanship and satisfying the customer or end user. In addition, many of the principles described are fundamental to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) which can be considered an industry standard framework and which the majority of UK (and many international) automotive suppliers must conform to.

The course is intended to have a practical bias in order that the learning can be applied directly in the work place and in line with this philosophy, in order to gain the certificate of completion which accompanies this course, 30 hours of learning and application must be demonstrated by participants. This is achieved, firstly by keeping track of the hours spent applying the learning from this course in the work place, and recording these hours on the "Learning Opportunity Evidence Sheet" where they are added to the time spent logged on to the course, and secondly by giving a brief description of how you have applied the learning. The evidence sheet can be submitted once the total time equals 30 hours or more, and in return, a certificate of completion will be awarded. The hours spent applying the learning can be recorded on the evidence sheet as they are accumulated, and will be stored for future additions and submission. A running total is displayed, showing when the evidence sheet can be submitted.

Thank you for completing the course. Please continue to the evidence sheet to document your progress and submit for your certificate of completion. For further information regarding the material within this course or on the subject of craftsmanship, please click on the following link.
