Finally, you need to draw these control limits onto your printed chart. If you are using colour, the UCL should be drawn in blue, and the LCL in black. If you are only working in black and white, they should both be drawn as solid black lines.

Check your chart against the example version, and if necessary, correct any errors before moving on. Please note particularly that the control limits should be symmetrical abount the mean, i.e. the UCL should be the same distance above the mean as the LCL is below it. If this is not the case on your chart then you have drawn the lines incorrectly.
