Chart Preparation Excercise (4)

We are now ready to begin the control limit calculations. If you look at your calculation sheet, you will see that the first calculation is for the value x-double-bar which is the symbol used to represent the grand mean. The grand mean is the mean of all the subgroup means. It is calculated by adding up all of the subgroup means, and then dividing by the number of subgroups.

Using the data from your printed chart, work out the sum of the subgroup means and enter this value in the box highlighted in red below. When you have done this, click the button to check your answer.
