At the end of this module, you will be able to demonstrate how to utilise the Weekly Planning Diaries to make the most effective use of your time.


According to the light humoured Parkinson's Law, "Work expands so as to fill the time available for it's completion". Fortunately, it is rare that any of us suffer from the cynical problem of Parkinson's world. The problem is rather finding enough time to complete required tasks to set deadlines.

Managing your time is managing your job properly.

Otherwise work is dictated by circumstances and crises and interruptions will inevitably prevent results being achieved on time.

Good planning is essential to effective handling of work, but it is probably the most difficult to do properly.

Good planning is constantly threatened or undermined by distractions, interruptions, bad communications and additional "urgent" work.
