Implementing an emissions minimisation strategy

The following monitoring regime is a useful basis on which to tackle such emissions on site:

• Undertake an investigation to quantify and identify point sources of atmospheric emissions. A site environmental profile may be worthwhile.
• Review all alternatives
• Keep up to date with BATNEEC developments
• Set up improvement programmes for each substance in order to minimise their release
• Contingency plans
• Training on all aspects of emissions
• Internal audits of operations that may lead to emissions
