Other damaging pollutants that are of current concern are:
- heavy metal vapours
- methane
- dioxins
- Oxides of nitrogen
- Oxides of sulphur
Others that will not be focused upon here are:
- Forms of statutory nuisance: odours and dust etc
- Particulate matter deriving from vehicle exhausts
- Ozone depleting substances such as CFC's
